Research into filters and special effects

We realised that without changing the colour filters of our music video, it would look far too much like a  'home video', which was not the look we were after, nor does it look like a professional, higher budget music video.

We paticularly liked the colour effect used on popular E4 show 'Made in Chelsea'. The colour filter used on this programme is very subtle but is 'warm' looking and makes the filming look more professional. It also improves skin tone.

On Final Cut we tried to achieve a similar look, but this was hard to do on the colour corrector. So we decided just to play around with the colour corrector dials and the sliders to achieve the filters we wanted.

We varied our filters throughout the video, some were bright, some were 'colder' looking, some were black and white. This gave our video variation and made it look less like a home video.
